James Chen
Biography
James Chen, CMT, has traded and analyzed global financial markets for over two decades, having headed financial research teams at major trading firms in New York and London. He is currently Head of Research for a leading global trading firm, Gain Capital.
James is the author of two trading/investing books, "Essentials of Technical Analysis for Financial Markets" (John Wiley and Sons, 2010) and "Essentials of Foreign Exchange Trading" (John Wiley and Sons, 2009), as well as author/speaker for the instructional video series, "High-Probability Trend Following." He is currently working on his third book, which presents key strategies for trading the shifts in market volatility.
He has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes, among many other financial news outlets, and has also been featured as an expert mentor on the widely-acclaimed “Trading Academy” show (London), where he trained and mentored numerous traders in a high-stakes trading competition.
James trades several financial markets on a frequent basis, issues comprehensive daily market analysis and trading strategies, and is a featured speaker in the financial media and at major trading seminars and conferences.
