Elliot Katz

    Biography

Elliot Katz has been involved in the stock and options markets since 1983. Early in his career, he had roles as a firm options strategist, proprietary trader and institutional options broker. Later, while at the Chicago Board Options Exchange, he trained public and institutional traders. He developed material on Options Pricing, Volatility and Strategies and wrote numerous articles for CBOE publications, some of which were excerpted in Barron’s and Investors’ Business Daily. Elliot also wrote two chapters for: “Options: Essential Concepts and Trading Strategies” published by the CBOE – Chapter 1: The history of options and Chapter 4: Options Strategies.

From 1992 – 2007, Elliot worked in the management side of the brokerage/wealth management business – using his options experience to not only introduce options to those he managed, but to integrate risk-management as a major theme. During this time, he also worked with individual investors.

In 2007, Elliot returned to trading, training and advising options traders. He has coached for many programs in group settings and on a one-on-one basis, and is currently the lead coach/strategist for The Rich Options Jerk.
